Message	Mine was doing the same thing. The shifter definitely felt like it was roaming instead of going into gear like it should. It felt like a sponge. It wasn`t the bushings because they were brand new. Well,when I took the factory shifter out,it literally fell to pieces. I also was having really bad 1st to 2nd gear grinding. Once I installed my short shifter,all my grinding went away. That was a few months ago and none of the grinding has returned. It was the best thing I ever did for my car.
